The collected videos are display together for a stronger contrast of time transition by changes of performer’s cloth, video pixels and surrounding environments. The background of Hoddle’s grid emphasize the city of Melbourne. The trace of city landscape, transitions of building and hand sketches are aimed to evoke viewers to think of the change of the city environment and time transition with their own memories or experience. The emphasis of this video is about bringing the real-life elements or spatial conditions in art viewing environment to evoke viewers’ embodiment by imaginations and memoires. Personally for me, 2008 was a super ancient time, I was still a child in primary school and writing homework about Olympic Games.

In this case, the most obvious change by time is the number of performers. When overlapping, it’s ambiguous to ensure that. And it confused the time points so that viewers can’t recognize the actual time. As a result, viewers are encouraged to remind the performance in their memories or imagine the present performance.
